*New Print Release*

Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Motorcycle photorealistic pencil drawing

‘Ridden in Tribute’
2019
Limited Edition Giclée Print
on Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm Paper
of a Drawing by Lou Sprockett

“This Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition is one of only 1000 motorcycles created in tribute to the 125cc motorcycle “The Flying Flea’ made by Royal Enfield to be deployed by parachute for the Airborne Pegasus Regiment behind enemy lines during the Second World War.

From its vintage colors and graphics to the carefully designed saddlebags made to reflect the parachutes used to drop the original bikes, down to the yellow stripe for the center of gravity, this motorcycle pays homage to its predecessor.

It’s a good-looking bike, meant for those country roads and back lanes, taking your time to enjoy the ride and knowing each time you stop it’s going to draw those admiring looks and start a conversation.”

Print of pencil motorcycle drawing of classic BSA

‘A Bright, Sunny Afternoon at the Malle Mile’
2019
Giclée Print on Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm Paper
of a Drawing by Lou Sprockett

“This beautiful bike was photographed in the glorious sunshine at Kevington Hall at last year’s Malle Mile, ‘the world’s most inappropriate motorcycle racing festival’. The weather all weekend was hot and dry, and the racing created a lot of dust but this bike was gleaming in the intense light; quite rightly a well-loved BSA.”

*The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2018*

This year we’ll be taking part in The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, and like last year we will be taking advantage of the international scope of this event and riding to Lille, in France.

The DGR is an annual event which raises funds for men’s health; for both prostate cancer and suicide awareness. On September 30 riders all around the world will come together with one common cause – to tackle men’s health issues. We’re proud to be able to dress dapper, ride our motorbikes and mix with like-minded folk to raise awareness and be part of this really wonderful event.

*New Original Artwork*

Drawn Studio Lou Sprockett drawing Indian motorcycle photorealistic pencil drawing American Traditional

‘American Traditional’
2018
an original pencil drawing by Lou Sprockett
£800 unframed

“This 1941 Indian Scout 741 was gleaming under the lights at the National Motorcycle Museum, with the pristine red and white paint almost like a target for the eyes. The sheer brilliance of the reflected lights made this a real tough one to draw, and the triple headlights were no walk in the park, but such a beautiful piece of American heritage simply couldn’t go unrecorded. ”

‘Shore Thing’
2017
Giclée Print on Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm Paper
of a Drawing by Lou Sprockett

“This Triumph Scrambler was parked on the shoreline on a really hot, sunny day and the light was just exploding off the chrome pipes and the black paintwork. The heavy shadows and the intense light make the solid form of the bike pop off the paper and help you feel the heat of the sun. A perfect day for riding, even with those hot pipes.”

The Drawn Studio Mirror Finish Motorcycle Print

‘Mirror Finish’
2017
Giclée Print on Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm Paper
of a Drawing by Lou Sprockett

“Photographed this Harley Davidson Sportster 48 outside a surf shop and cafe on the way to the beach on an overcast day. The bike was a bright purple color, with a brown leather seat and whitewall tires, so it was a real attention-grabber parked up on the pavement. But what really stood out was the shine on the paintwork and the positioning of the mirror low on the bike. When you stood next to the bike the tank was reflected in that mirror, so that just made for a great look for the drawing.”

2016
Giclée Print on Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm Paper
of a Drawing by Lou Sprockett

“A modern classic, this Royal Enfield Bullet Electra X encapsulates the history and passion of motorcycling and travel.

I photographed this motorbike at a busy motorcycle meeting and the reflections in the tank hint at the scene around it; a summer’s eve on a quayside, parked up for visitors to admire.”
